Santa Claus was very good to me this year. This was my guy stuff year. I got tools--a ratchet set and a really cool ratchet screw driver. I got a bottle of Chateua Jihua from Dogfish Head Brewery. Plus, I got cooking stuff--a bread maker, some fun whisks, a Le Creuset casserole and a dish from Portugal.
I bought Matt a meteorite and some other stuff. But that was the cool thing.
We had Matt's mother over for dinner and I made quail stuffed with chestnuts, Bhutanese red rice, and pan roasted brussel sprouts. For desert we had salted caramel gelato (sinful!) with persimmons.
After dinner we went to the Mormon Temple to see their light display. (I heard a young guy ask, What is the Church of the Latter Day Saints? He did not know.) It was not as elaborate as we have seen in the past but still fun.
